I’ve worked as an Alaska commercial fisherman, founded and creative-directed three full service advertising agencies, designed and fabricated contemporary furniture, built boats and consulted with heads of state.
I spent ~35 years photographing and filming the stories of people around the world, from a broad cross section of economic, social and ethnic backgrounds- most of it in conflict and crisis environments.
My work has won multiple awards, and has been exhibited at the NY Armory Show, The Navy Pier Show in Chicago, and solo shows with Ricco/Maresca Gallery.
My work has been featured in Architectural Digest, VICE Magazine/Media, The New York Times, Business Week, Al Jazeera, BBC, CNN, NBC, Global Post, Neue Züricher Zeitung, The Age, Die Zeit, Der Spiegel, AP, EPA, TIME Magazine and a variety of other print and broadcast outlets.
I’m now settled on a bucolic mountain in southern Portugal, where I am restoring a ± 150 year old stone farmhouse, and it’s accompanyingland, and am focused on design andfabrication pursuits, in addition to editorial portraiture and brand image-film direction.
